In partnership with Methodist hospital, multiple local doctors, and local urban famers, the Produce Prescription Program invites residents with specific health conditions to receive no-cost medically tailored prepared meals every week or produce boxes with proteins and recipes bi-weekly. The local produce and prepared meals are selected to meet participant’s specific health needs. This program also involves ongoing nutrition education and cooking demonstrations to support patients in eating fresh vegetables and fruit to improve their health.
