In partnership with Methodist hospital, multiple local doctors, and local urban famers, a Produce Prescription Program invites residents with specific health conditions to receive free produce every week. The produce is produced by local farmers and selected to meet patient’s specific health needs. This program also involves ongoing nutrition education to support patients in eating fresh vegetables and fruit to improve their health.
